How do I login?

You should be issued with your logon credentials by thebigword. These should consist of your client code, username and password. If you do not have these details please request them by contacting thebigword on +44 (0)870 748 8000.
Once you have these details simply login.

On successful login you will be presented with the main menu. From here you will be able to submit a job for translation or request a quotation. You can also view or collect outstanding jobs or quotes and use thebigword's free machine translation service.

How do I request a quotation or submit a translation job?

It's easy to request a translation or proceed with a translation using LanguageDirector. Simply follow the steps below:
  1. From the main menu, select the option "Submit a job for translation or request a quotation". All work undertaken will be carried out at your agreed prices and you will be invoiced
  2. Simply choose the relevant option at the top of the screen, either request a quotation or proceed with the translation job.
  3. Select the source and target languages (It is possible to select more than one target language on the screen).
  4. Complete the "Date required" field to indicate when you would like the completed translation returned by thebigword.
  5. At this point it may also be possible to input your own PO Number and Project Reference. If you do not know your PO Number at the time of raising a quote, then you will have the opportunity to input it later when proceeding with your job.
  6. If you need to add any notes with your job such as special instructions or important information about your document then you can add these to the "Notes" field.
  7. Now simply browse to the file that you wish to send to thebigword by clicking on the "browse" button.
  8. An additional file browser control will appear, allowing you to optionally browse for another file to add to your request. Repeat this step until you have added all the required files to your job.
  9. Any other mandatory fields will be indicated by a red asterisk.
  10. Once you have completed the form click the "Next" button to send your request to thebigword. You will be redirected to the "Job Submitted" screen which will display all the details of your job. This means that your request for a job or quotation has now been added to our internal management system and your project manager has received notification of your request.

How do I collect my quotation and turn it into a job?

Once we receive your request for a quotation, your project manager will upload it to your LanguageDirector™ account in due course. Collecting your quotation and going ahead with your job is easy:
